River City Ultimate (RCU) is a 501c3 non profit organization focused on increasing the quality and quantity of ultimate in central Illinois. RCU manages several programs to help ultimate thrive in central Illinois:
Peoria Ultimate League (PUL) –
A “hat” style summer league where players sign up as individuals or pairs. Teams are balanced for skill, athleticism, handling ability, and gender. The league starts either late May or early June. There is a short coaching session at the start and then teams will play one game. In 2018 we had over 120 people play! It’s a fantastic time and most who try it once sign up again!
Peoria Parrots –
The Parrots have been playing ultimate in Peoria since 2002. At Parrots you can expect to find a mix of skill levels ranging from completely new to ultimate to collegiate nationals players. Parrots is also co-ed and a wide range of ages from 18 to 50. Information about cancellation or change in times can be found at the Parrots facebook page.
